Ghosts and Underground Funfairs

Have you ever heard about that massive 26,000 square foot Foxbury Manor in Chislehurst, Kent, with its 8 archers of landscape surrounding it? Well I sure have now, and it's being rented by Michael throughout his 50-dates tour. The Manor is a private home of a wealthy Turkish family who obviously aren't in the need of any more money, but they sure did a great investment in having the King of Pop staying in their home. Imagine if they're every going to sell the place, being able to say "Michal Jackson lived in our home during his last (?) tour."

Ever since Michael had to sell his beloved Neverland Ranch four years ago, when his debts forced him to sell it, he's been missing it a lot. He's having the whole mansion refurbished and transformed into a "mini-Neverland" with a, just to mention some of the things, funfair in the grounds and a bowling alley. The master bedroom alone, and I mean MASTER, is 1,800 feet.

The Foxbury is right next to Chislehurst Caves with its 22 miles of underground passageways where it's been said that countless mysterious reports of ghost sighting and poltergeist activity which has been featured at BBC's Most Haunted. Michael can feel safe though because of his fully installed camera system all around the house, both in and out. You'll need a password for the main gate and another one to get through the front door.

Neither fanatic fans nor ghosts will be able to bother Michael now, I'm sure.

Big Plans - But how much is reality ?

Michael apparently has bigger plans then just his up-coming London tour "This Is It" and Thriller themed Las Vegas Casino. It's been told that he's working on several films and a museum to house historical items from his career. But that's not it, the word is that there's being a second tour planned for Michael, a three-year WORLD TOUR. Sources close to Michael have said he's up to any business proposals that can refill his old time fortune and pay off his millions in debt.

The bad news though is that Michael reportedly had to go through a surgery last month to remove possible fatal growth in his nose and arm. He might also have to undergo a radiotherapy treatment that could threaten his ability to perform this summer, it'll probably leave him unable to sing they say.

Thriller's Back!

There's been a lot of talking about a new casino coming up next year in the city of gambling, Las Vegas. And it's not just any casino, it's going to be owned by Michael Jackson and the theme's going to be THRILLER, with zombies walking all over that place! It didn't surprise me though, but what DOES surprise me is why they haven't come up with it earlier, I think it's genius! Unfortunately the reason for this casino is once again a matter of money. Who'd think Michael Jackson would have debts coming out his ears one day. The estimated amount that he owes ppl is apparently $100 to $300 million. I'd have a severe gastric ulcer if I'd have that nightmare haunting me every day. Let's just hope he gets that casino and then we all can be happy.

Reasons for the Postponed Dates

" The most recent news about Michael is concerning his health. Since the concerts have been postponed and he's been seen coming out of his doctor's office several times in just a short period of time, there might be a reason for concern.

During the press conference not so long ago Randy Phillips, chief executive of AEG Live, announced that there is nothing wrong with Michael's health and that the tour is postponed only because of lack of time for the preparations. Now, sources say that Michael's only showed up at two out of forty-five rehearsals.

Ever since the last trial of child abuse, Michael's state has been said to be very fragile and that he's been spotted in a wheel chair on and off the last five years. Now weather that is true or not can be discusses, he has as a matter of fact cheated all of us in thinking he was in bad shape when he at one particular time, many years ago, performed in a wheel chair, although nothing was wrong with him. It was all a prank.

It's also been said that Michael hasn't really conquered the addictions he's been suffering from since the first trial. Apparently 50 year old Michael is taking pain killers for back pain that's troubling him.

Personally, I have a hard time believing that would be true. Why would anyone agree to a tour with 50 dates if people doubted his physical condition, and his mental condition too for that matter?

'I would trade my body for his tomorrow. He's in fantastic shape,' said his promoter Mr. Phillips during the last press conference.

Some people have said right from the beginning, and they still do, that Michael's never meant for this to really happen. They believe that this whole thing isn't going to happen, at all. Michael has cancelled shows before and he recently cancelled a lavish auction (which was a good thing though).

So what if the whole thing would to be cancelled? Let's try to imagine what that would be like. Now each concert is estimated to hold about 20 000 fans. Multiply that by 50, that'll give you 1 million hopeful and ecstatic fans. Let's say every third person has already bought a plane tickets and booked a hotel + her/his concert ticket (and let's hope that one will be refundable at least). Imagine how much wasted money we're talking about if this scenario would take place. And just think about the rage and the disappointment all of his fans will feel, even the ones who haven't got a ticket. People say Michael's career ended long ago, but just think about what this would do to him. It would definitely be the end, period.

Michael's been sued many times during his career, by advisors, accountants, friends - just to mention a few. And don't forget the two trials he's been through, it hasn't been cheep. It seems like everyone wants a piece of Michael's fortune and that has evidently left its trace in his economy. He's also known as a big spender, even when he hasn't got the money for it. Apparently that's the reason for the upcoming 50 concerts this summer. Michael himself claims that he really wants to follow through with these concerts, to remind people of the true entertainer that he is. He also wants to show his children what he's known for.

I'm sure that people will remember Michael as the star he is after his performances. Somewhere along the way things started to get out of hand and it was after all 12 years since his last tour, people do forget.

Let's hope the guys on AEG and Michael's staff knows what they're doing. It's going to be a hell of I show I've heard, a shame to miss out on such an historical event. "

This is what's been said now about the 4 postponed tour dates:

"Kenny and Michael are, at the same time, both creative pioneers and perfectionists. This show has grown in size and scope, thereby, necessitating more lead time for manufacture of the set, programming the content for the massive video elements, and, most importantly, more time for full production and dress rehearsals in the world's busiest arena, the O2. As much as we agonized over this change in the original schedule, we are sure the fans will understand when they experience the level of entertainment Michael Jackson intends to deliver while also ensuring the safety of the musicians, cast and crew and the crisp execution of the production. It is AEG Live's sincere hope that those lucky enough to have purchased tickets will have enough time to change their personal schedules and travel plans if they are coming from outside of London. We do not want anyone to miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience."  (source: mjstar.com)

Apparentely Madonna is having her last concert at the O2 on July 6 and that's why the concerts has been postponed. If that's the case I think it's totally understandable because of the amount of time they'll probably need to set everything for this huge event. But didn't they know this then from the start, when everything was booked? Either Madonna's crew or Michael's must have known allt this, it's hard for me to understand how a "misstake" like that kind can occure. But at the same time, more and more rumours about Michael's back problems and skin cancer starts floating up to the surface.

Michael's furious with the 50 dates

Apparentely Michael's furious because he has to do the 50 shows in London. He says he agreed to 10 and then one morning 40 more shows had been booked. According to Michael he wanted to do the 10 shows in London and then to take the tour around the world to other cities.

Michael himself is worried he's not going to be able to perform all 50 shows because of his lack of physical strenght. Recently after a practice at the Burbank Studios, 50 cheering fans were waiting for him outside. When he got out, he made this statement:

"Thank you for your love and support, I want you guys to know I love you very much. I don't know how I'm going to do 50 shows. I'm not a big eater - I need to put some weight on. I'm really angry with them booking me up to do 50 shows. I only wanted to do 10, and take the tour around the world to other cities, not 50 in one place. I went to bed knowing I sold 10 dates, and woke up to the news I was booked to do 50."

There's still no absolute certainity that the tour will go on as it is right now, and last week it was spread that there migh be more concerts postponed or even withdrawn because of his well mentioned struggle with skin cancer.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that non of this happens..

The Curls are BACK People!

The latest pictures of Michael shows that he's gone back to curls again, just like old times! It's THE Michael that we're about to see in London this summer, it's going to be just like back in the time! The clothes are also back again :) Look at him, he looks absolutely fantastic!

Rescheduled Tour Dates

It's now confirmed that some of the dates of the tour have been resceduled. For example the opening night of July 8 has been changed to July 13. Because of the large range of tour dates and such a huge and complicated show it's been decided that more time for preparation is necessary.

The director along with Michael, Kenny Ortega, says: "After directing the Dangerous and HIStory tours, I know what the fans expect and myself and the team want to deliver a flawless production. We apologise to all disappointed Michael Jackson fans and remain extremely dedicated and focused on creating an exceptional live music experience."

Everyone who are unable to reschedule their dates will be fully compensated for the cost of the tickets and booking fees. There's more information about the reschedule and refund of the tickets on

Background dancers for the "This is it" tour

Michael has now selected his background dancers for the show this summer in London; 6 men and 2 women. Hundreds of the finest dancers attended the audition. The men on the Monday (this monday) and women on the Tuesday. On Wednesday in LA, the finalists' were called back for a last determination and got to perform in front of Michael himself. Now the contract for the dancers is a 2-year contract to perform "national" and "international" venues for the "This is it" tour. Does that mean he's gonna perform in other places in addition to London? Well let's really really hope so :) And I hope THAT made your weekend a very fine weekend!

love ♥

Michael is on top for his concerts

According to "TheWrap" Michael is rehearsing somewhere in L.A. for his 50 upcoming shows starting in July 2009.

"He is fine and in great shape and is healthy and rehearsing in Los Angeles," said Gary Pudney, a friend and business associate to Michael, and executive producer of the "World Music Awards."

Pudney says fans shouldn't be worried about cancelled shows or a sub-par performance. "He's in very good health," Pudney said. "He's taken very good care of himself, and anyone saying he isn't rehearsing is wrong. This is it. There are a lot of people out there who wish him ill."

Michael has a history though of problems with concerts. In 2005 Marcel Avram, a German concert promoter, won agains Mike in a multi-million-dollar judgment trail for the damages he had cost for not performing.

London Telegraph has reported that AEG Live, the promoter behind This Is It, has been trying to settle an agreement of a full cancellation policy with insurers. Bower's Guardian reports that the promoters has secured an insurance for just the first ten days of the tour, an not for the whole fifty.

If the other forty days are refused to be insuranced, Michael might be the one who has to pay $350,00 to $500,00 a performance from his own pocket, if anything happens with any of the concerts.

"The promoter needs business interruption insurance because historically these tours have not go on as planned," said a veteran promoter who asked not to be identified. "The hall may not let you play without insurance. It doesn't want to be holding the bag."

But the editor-in-chief of Pollstar.com, Gary Bongiovanni, who tracks the buissness of the concerts told TheWrap that MJ02 and AEG Live will be able to handle it if the risk of any interruptions occures for any of the concerts.

"You have to have basic liability insurance," said Bongiovanni, "but having nonperformance is not an absolute."

Billboard Top!

It's not a surprise that All of Michael's album's (except for "Invincible" anf "Blood On the Dancefloor") are on the Billboard Top selling list of the three hundred "Best Selling Albumds Of All Time." Thriller was on top of the list with an amazing 72,400,000 units sold. Bad came after that with number 9 on the list with 33,200,000 units and Dangerous hit number twenty with 30,000,000 units. MTV's Top Album

Michael's best selling album ever, Thriller, has been voted as top on MTV's "Greatest Album Ever". Out of all votes, Thriller got almost one third. DJ Trevor Nelson says that he don't think there's going to be another album like Thriller, ever. He also says:
"There will never be a marriage of producer and artist and song writing and pop sensibility - it just won't happen again," he commented. "And also, due to the way people buy records now, there'll never be an album that sells as many copies - and that's the thing that will keep it at number one."

Auction has been cancelled

Alexandra Topping writes following in a article on Guardian's website, 15 April 2009:

"A huge auction of Michael Jackson memorabilia from his Neverland estate was cancelled yesterday with auctioneers agreeing to return all the items to the singer.

The auction, which was set to include a wide range of assets taken from Jackson's former home near Santa Barbara, including the crystal glove worn in the Billie Jean video, was called off after the King of Pop filed a lawsuit last month demanding the return of certain items.

Due to take place on 22-25 April, the auction catalogue included items as diverse as Jackson's jewel-encrusted concert jackets to the gates of the Neverland ranch, and was expected to raise up to $20m (£13m).

A joint statement from Jackson spokesman Tohme R Tohme and auction organiser Darren Julien announced that Julien's Auctions had cancelled the sale but would prolong its exhibition of the items until April 25, after which Jackson would take back the items.

What will happen to the items once they are back in Jackson's possession remains unclear. A statement from his representative said "there was so much interest from so many of Jackson's fans that instead of putting the items in the hands of private collectors, Tohme and Julien's Auctions have made arrangements that will allow the collection to be shared with and enjoyed by Jackson's fans for many years to come."

The public can currently see the collection, organised into stage wear and music memorabilia, toys and "Disneyana", at the former Robinsons May building in Beverly Hills, for a $20 entrance fee.

Online bidding for the belongings had already begun, with winners to be determined at the live auction, according to the Los Angeles Times. The proceeds would have gone to Jackson and a music charity, but the singer's representatives said that he would make a "substantial" donation to the MusiCares charity.

Julien, president and chief executive of Julien's Auctions, said: "We reached a resolution and we're very happy about it. It allows Michael to retain ownership of his possessions. He contracted us to conduct the auction and had a change of mind for whatever reason. And we honour and respect that. We're very happy with the outcome."

It is thought that nearly $2m was spent organising the cancelled sale, but the auction house was happy about the agreement. Julien added: "Sure, I'm disappointed that the auction is not going to take place. But I'm happy that the exhibition will continue."

The No1 Entertainer

Michael's always been in for a great show. For his performances in London he's been working closely together with Davis Copperfield, a well known illusionist who once made the Statue of Liberty disaperar. Mike's always liked magic and so he and David is practicing a good peice for his shows that will blow the audience away. I think it's gonna be just great! I'm looking forward to see what it is they've been working on all this time! So, Michael's the biggest when it comes to his music, but he's even bigger when he's about to perform!

Two more documentaries coming out

According to mjjcommunity.com in their article April 2nd 2009, there will be two more documentaries before Michael starts his shows in July.

1, "Michael Jackson: The Second Coming? examines the past few years of the singer's life and the build-up to his return to the stage this summer."

2, "Simon Cowell: Where Did it All Go Right? is a celebration of the pop culture icon, examining the roots of his "global domination in entertainment". It will air in May."

Larry Nimmer speaks out about the accusations against Michael

As I wrote in one of my other contributions here on the blog, Larry Nimmer has made a pro-Michael Jackson documentary and testifyed in the trial. By the fotage that he had taken trough the years inside Neverland, he could prove Michael's innocence in the case.
Here's the interview (from mjjcommunity.com, Tuesday April 7 - 2009) with Larry where he talks about the accusations, his thoughts towards Michael Jackson and the beloved Neverland:

""I think it was wonderful how Michael Jackson created Neverland as a refuge for thousands of kids as well as his own inner kid. It's a shame how one family's bogus story lead to him, and future inner city kids, losing Neverland. I guess I like that my documentary will help continue Neverland, at least in our shared history," Larry Nimmer tells MJJC.

In the documentary there will be never before seen footage inside Neverland, outtakes from the Martin Bashir documentary he did not want us to see, the video that the sheriff's shot of their raid of Neverland where they went through all the Neverland private areas, the Arviso family's own video where the accuser family praise Michael Jackson and say what he is like and what it's like to stay at Neverland, the sheriff's video, which were given to Nimmer from Jackson's attorneys, where the accuser describes how he was molested, an interview with jury foreman Paul Rodriguez where he describes what went on behind closed doors as they where deliberating the case, an interview with Tom Mesereau about his client and the case, Larry Nimmer's own video tour of Neverland which includes Jackson's bedroom, the guest quarters, the zoo, arcade, amusement park, theater etc and clips of Michael Jackson during his career.

How has the trial changed your outlook on Michael Jackson?
"I'm more sympathetic to him now. I am upset to see how the media will try to sensationalize a story to get higher ratings and make more money. I learned first hand how people go to great lengths to take advantage of celebrities like Jackson. I have more respect for him when I hear how he uses his childlike nature for creative purposes. I have great sympathy for him seeing how he wanted to do good for the Arviso family and how they put him through hell," Nimmer says.

At first Larry Nimmer did not have any opinion if Michael Jackson had abused any kids or not, but after getting a closer look, he figured out he is not a pedophile.

"Michael has been so insulated from the everyday public that he showed bad judgment in thinking people would not find wrong in the fact that he shares his bed with other kids. I believe he did not molest any kids, but practically speaking, most people in the American culture will not accept an adult sleeping in bed with kids that are not their own. He seems to be a unique adult who has channeled his childlike nature for creative and professional purposes," he says.

"Looking at MJ's life and work, I am more impressed with his multi-dimensional creativity: He is outstanding as a singer, dancer, composer, choreographer, music video filmmaker and children's humanitarian," he continues.

What was Neverland like from your own point of view?
"It was a well manicured place designed to have fun and to be friendly to visitors. I loved riding on the trains and having his staff willing to do anything I requested. It's great being able to walk up to his kitchen counter and request anything that I want," he says.

Nimmer also explains how he was overwhelmed with the number of things in the house. Artworks, toys, fancy furniture, signed photos, tapes upon tapes and statues of every shape and size.

"The only odd thing for me was hearing the piped in music throughout the grounds. It sounded like what you would hear at Disneyland, and all the TVs in the house were set to the Disney channel. But it's fun riding around on the property in Golf Carts."

What do you think about Michael Jackson as a performer and as a person?
"As a performer, there is none better. I love how he performs from his gut and from his soul. How he is totally uninhibited when he performs, as opposed to how he is in everyday life. As a person, he seems to be a wonderful guy, although, he has not surrounded himself with the best advisors, and maybe because of this, he has shown poor judgement on how the world will react to him."

Nimmer goes on to say that he doesn't think he is so strange, and that the ways in which he is different is refreshing.

After your work on the trial, how has Michael Jackson affected your life?
"I like to think about using my childlike nature for creative and humanitarian actions. I enjoyed working on the case, making the documentary, following MJ's career and I enjoy people being impressed that I worked for MJ. My son's, ages 22 and 25, have new respect for me for having worked for Michael Jackson."

What have you been up to lately since we last heard from you?
"I have been producing documentaries, informational videos and various projects to make people feel good about themselves. These include "Generation Exchange" where I have school kids meet seniors and interview one another. "Love taps" which also does unsolicited little acts of love to unsuspecting people. And I also dance for peace which I put on YouTube."

If you could say anything to Michael right now, what would it be?
"Would you care to make a short message to put on my doc? Otherwise, I feel a little guilty about being one more person trying to benefit from my association with you... but, I do believe I have a positive agenda. One way that I'm like you is that I'm often more comfortable hanging out with kids in social situations than with adults".

"I'm happy to do my part with "Michael Jackson: The Untold Story of Neverland" which will hopefully help set the record straight of what happened at Neverland," he says.

And last, but not least. Are you going to one of his concerts this summer in London?
"I hope to go. I wasn't able to buy any tickets. But I would like to go and make myself available for interviews about my documentary and my thoughts about Michael Jackson."

The documentary will be broadcast sometime soon. Larry Nimmer will also make it available for sale on Amazon or for rent at Netflix. If you want any more information about this upcoming documentary, or if you have any questions, you can email Larry Nimmer at [email protected]  "

"Michael Jackson: The Untold Story of Neverland"

A pro-Michael Jackson documentary is going to be released soon, titled "Michael Jackson: The Untold Story of Neverland". Filmmaker Larry Nimmer has put together a story that speaks for MJ's benefit about the accusations from Gavin Arvizo and his family. Larry's fotage helped the jury to see who Michael really is.

The documentary takes us behind the scenes and tells us the true story of what really happened and the accuser and his family turned out not to be such a perfect family after all.

The documentary is till beeing considered by a number of cable television outlets, so we still don't know when we will be able to see it, but i'll update you!

A new album

Is it true?

It's been rumours that claim that Michael is working on a new album and according to "Digital Spy" he's about to releas a new single before his performances start in July.

"There will be a new Michael Jackson single before the first date," concert promoter Randy Phillips confirmed.
"Michael has got some new music and he is looking for a new way of disseminating his material to his fans."

There's also talk about him giving away his new album at his upcoming shows. Well, let's hope so, that'd be really interesting to se what he's come up with after all this time.

The Grammy museum

At The Grammy museum in L.A., there's right now an exhibition featuring some of Michael Jackson's greatest peices worn during his time in the spotlight, mostly from The Victory tour, at Jackson's 1984 American Music Awards appearance, and at the dedication of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. You can find the exhibition on the third floor at the museum, but the time is very limited, from February 5 - April 12 2009.
